Scope and Contents: This collection contains photographs showing the activities of Sealaska Heritage Institute’s language program, including images capturing K-5 program activities, Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian language programs, and language immersion camps. These photos are housed in six photograph albums and date to circa 2000-2007. Overall, the collection contains approximately 200 photographs capturing images of teacher student interaction in a classroom setting, language immersion activities in the wilderness of Hoonah and Klukwan, and in other settings. Overall, this collection documents the activities of the Sealaska Heritage Institute to engage in language revitalization.
