Historical Note:

Nancy Andrews Jackson (Jigawduioo) was born August 1, 1925 in Petersburg, Alaska, the daughter of Sam (Seik) and Elsie (Kaasgoo) Andrews. Jackson grew up in various towns across Southeast Alaska, including Tenakee, Petersburg, Skagway, Klukwan, and Haines. She later married a man from Haines and had three sons, Nathan (a Master Carver), Johnny, and James. Early in Jackson’s life she joined the Alaska Native Sisterhood. She passed away in 2012.
