Scope and Contents of the Materials

This collection consists of audio recordings on cassette of an Alaska Ethnohistory Symposium held in conjunction with the Alaska Anthropological Association’s annual conference on March 5, 1985. The recordings, amounting to two 90 minute cassettes (two copies), contain academics speaking about their work on life histories and ethno-histories in Alaska. Those speaking include Margret Blackman, Rosita Worl, Charles W. Smythe, Ann Fienup-Riordan, David Libby, and Base Hedrick. These recordings are copies of those from UAF’s Oral History Collection.
