Scope and Contents: This two-box collection contains an assortment of materials pertaining to the life of Tlingit Indian Stanley D. Peratrovich (1919-2002). The materials include documents, letters, and a photograph album highlighting Stanley Peratrovich’s time spent at the Wrangell Institute, fishing on the Klawock No. 5, serving in the military during World War II, and reuniting with fellow veterans in his later years.
The collection also contains materials concerning Peratrovich’s family, such as his mother, Kathryn Peratrovich’s, wooden moccasin forms and moccasin beading patterns.
