Scope and Contents: This collection consists of the personal papers of Franklin Williams, Sr.. These papers consist of Williams’ correspondence and personal papers. His correspondence consists primarily of letters to leading Alaska Native officials and organizations which discuss Williams’ thoughts on various political, social, and cultural issues. Williams’ personal papers consist of photocopies of family photos, newspaper clippings, and important writings to Williams. Correspondence has been organized chronologically and grouped separately from Williams’ personal papers.
