Bill Hess Photograph Collection, 2004 | Sealaska Heritage Institute Archives

This collection consists of photographs taken by professional photographer Bill Hess at the Sealaska Heritage Institute’s Celebration 2004. Hess was hired by SHI to shoot Celebration 2004 and after the event Hess turned over the photographs contained in this collection.

The collection contains around 150 images, all in digital format and on two CD-Rs. All images are of high resolution and named by Bill Hess. Many of the images in this collection were used in SHI’s book Celebration: Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian Dancing on the Land, which was published in 2008.
